Step 6 - Update Knowledgebase Navigation

If any new Knowledgebase pages were created for the new release, they should be in the knowledgebasexx space. These pages will need to be included in the general Knowledgebase navigation. The "Getting Started" pages for the new version will also need to be added to the navigation.

Add new Knowledgebase pages

  1. Use two browser windows to compare the pages in the general Knowledgebase left hand navigation and the site map of the new knowledgebasexx space.
  2. Note any new pages in the knowledgebasexx space.
  3. Navigate to Knowledgebase Navigation
  4. Edit the page and add the new pages for the latest release into the appropriate sections in the navigation.

Add Getting Started pages

Also while editing knowledgebase:navigation, add the following:

  1. Locate the "Getting Started" menu.
  2. After
    {menu}Getting Started
    {menuitem}[support:New User Information]{menuitem}

    Add the following (replace xx and x.x with the new version number):

    {submenu}caGrid x.x
    {menuitem}[Getting Started with caGrid x.x|knowledgebasexx:Getting Started with caGrid x.x]{menuitem}
    {menuitem}[caGrid x.x Technical Overview|knowledgebasexx:caGrid x.x Technical Overview]{menuitem}
    {submenu}

  3. Save the page.
