Step 4 - Update the Downloads Space and Navigation

Part A: Update the Home page of the Downloads space

  1. Navigate to Downloads Home
  2. Edit the links and on the page to point to the latest release:
    • The caGrid logo image should point to the new build on GForge
    • The "Download the caGrid installer" link should point to the new build on GForge.
    • The "Installation instructions" link should point to the new "Install caGrid Using the caGrid x.x Installer" page in the new caGridxx space. (cagridxx:Install caGrid Using the caGrid x.x Installer)
    • Update the Java prerequisite if necessary. If a new version of Java is required for the new release, then this outgoing link will need to be updated.
    • The "install caGrid manually" link should point to cagridxx:Install caGrid Manually. You should just need to update the space to latest release. The page will have the same name.
    • Update "Are you installing caGrid version x.x again?" so that the version number is the latest release.
  3. Save the page.

Part B: Update the Navigation of the Downloads Space

  1. Navigate to Downloads Navigation
  2. Edit the page
  3. Add the following pseudo-markup (replace "x.x" with the newest version number):
    {menu}[caGrid x.x|caGrid x.x]
    {menuitem}[New Features|caGrid x.x New Features]{menuitem}
    {menuitem}[Software|downloads:caGrid x.x Installation Quick Start]{menuitem}
    {menuitem}[License|caGrid x.x License]{menuitem}
    {menuitem}[Release Notes|cagridxx:Release Notes]{menuitem}
    {menuitem}[Security Advisories|caGrid x.x Security Advisories]{menuitem}
    {menuitem}[Patches|caGrid x.x Patches]{menuitem}
    {menu}

  4. Save the page.

Part C: Update the Source Code Page

  1. Navigate to Source Code
  2. Edit the page.
  3. Add the following markup between "Subversion Checkout on Windows" and the (now) old release (replace the "x.x" with the newest version number):
    {include:Subversion Source Code x.x}

  4. Save the page.
    If the "Subversion Source Code x.x" page has a "Subversion Checkout on Windows" section, you will need to use {include-excerpt:Subversion Source Code x.x|nopanel=true} on the Source Code page, and add {excerpt} on the Subversion Source Code x.x page so that only the heading and {terminal} are included on the page. This prevents the "Subversion Checkout on Windows" from being dislayed twice.

    Examples of the use of the excerpt macro is already evident on the Source Code page. For more information on how to use the excerpt macro, see http://cagrid.org/renderer/notationhelp.action
