Removing Grid User Accounts

Dorian: Administrators Guide | Developers Guide | Users Guide | caGrid: Documentation Guides

Dorian allows administrators to removed user accounts.   When a user account is removed, Dorian will remove all user information from the system, remove all user certificates, revoke all host certificates in which the user is the owner, revoke any administrative rights to Dorian granted to the user.  Removing a user from Dorian is a permanent operation and cannot be undone.  User certificates associated with the account that have been revoked will be added to Dorian's CRL.  User certificates not revoked will be deleted and cannot be revoked in the future.  For these reasons we highly recommend that you do not remove grid user accounts, but rather suspend them instead.   If you do choose to remove a user account, it can be done using the GAARDS UI as follows:

  1. Perform a Grid User Search.
  2. In the user's table select the user you wish to remove.
  3. Click the "Remove" button.
