Grid Account Administrators

Users with a grid user account with Dorian can be granted administrative privileges to Dorian that allow them to manage grid users accounts, trusted identity providers, host certificates, user certificates, administrative privileges, and perform audits. The GAARDS UI provides mechanisms for listing users with administrative rights, granting administrative privileges, and revoking administrative privileges.

Finding Users with Administrative Privileges

To list all the grid users that have been granted administrative privileges to Dorian, complete the following steps:

  1. Launch the GAARDS UI.
  2. Login to Dorian as an administrator.
  3. From the Account Management menu, select Grid Account Management, and select Access Control, this will launch the Access Control window.
  4. Click the Search button, this will list all the users that have been granted administrative access to Dorian in the table below the Search button.

Granting Administrative Privileges

  1. Launch the GAARDS UI.
  2. Login to Dorian as an administrator.
  3. From the Account Management menu, select Grid Account Management, and select Access Control, this will launch the Access Control window.
  4. Click the Add button, this will launch the Add Administrator Window.
  5. In the text box enter the grid identity of the user you would like to grant administrative privileges to.
  6. Click the Add button, this will immediately grant the user you entered administrative privileges.

Revoking Administrative Privileges

  1. Launch the GAARDS UI.
  2. Login to Dorian as an administrator.
  3. From the Account Management menu, select Grid Account Management, and select Access Control, this will launch the Access Control window.
  4. Click the Search button, this will list all the users that have been granted administrative access to Dorian in the table below the Search button.
  5. Select the user you would like to revoke privileges from.
  6. Click the Remove button.
