Account Creation

A Grid User account is created the first time a user requests a PKI user credential from Dorian.  Dorian uses the information contained in the SAML Assertion provided by the user's identity provider to populate the attributes for the user's account.   The initial status of the user's account depends on the account policy registered with the user's identity provider.  In some cases the user's account may be immediately activated where in others it may require administrative approval, it all depends on the account policy registered with the user's identity provider.  Each identity provider is registered with an account policy that is applied each time the user request a PKI user credential.  For more information on this please consult the Trusted Identity Providers Guide.
