Launching the CSM Administration Interface

An administrative interface for the CSM web service has been created as an extention of the caGrid GAARDS tool. This admin interface allows you to manage application access, protection elements, protection groups, roles, groups, permissions and instance level security filters. Follow these instructions to launch the CSM Administrative Interface.

Prerequisites

During the CSM web service installation process, you were presented with the option to install the CSM admin interface as a stand alone application or to install it to an existing caGrid GAARDS application. If you chose to install it as a stand alone application, the location of the csm-ui project will be referred to as CSM-UI-HOME in this guide.

Launch the CSM Admin Interface from csm-ui project

  1. To launch the CSM admin interface as a stand alone application, run the following commands from a terminal:

    > cd CSM-UI-HOME
    > ant ui
  2. This will launch a modified version of caGrid GAARDS interface. Log in to the grid by following the instructions from the Logging onto the Grid guide.

Launch the CSM Admin Interface from an extended GAARDS instance

  1. If you chose to extend an existing caGrid GAARDS installation to include the CSM administrative interfaces, run the following commands from a terminal to launch the interface:

    > cd CAGRID_HOME
    > ant security
