caGrid Services utilize AXIS 1.2. As a result, the default response to opening a service URL in a browser is:

Hi there, this is an AXIS service! Perhaps there will be a form for invoking the service here...

The KC has created a guide to detail the method of overriding the default AXIS 1.2 behavior to allow developers to provide custom web pages for their services.
