The Federated Aggregate Cohort Estimator (FACE) - CTSA Administrative Supplement
The FACE project is a recently funded CTSA administrative supplement. The project is a collaboration of UAB, OSU, UMASS and UC Denver / DHHA. Utilizing a number of caGrid/TRIAD components the project will provide an easy to deploy, scalable, cohort query tool and framework for use across multiple institutions. The project targets allowing institutions to easily participate in a federated query cohort tool regardless of their underlying data structure and with minimal institutional infrastructure need. For example, sites with i2b2, with a Enterprise data repository, or with any collection of administrative data should all be able to participate.
The FACE project is early in the design process, and discussions are ongoing about the caGrid/TRIAD component and how they will be utilized. Among those being considered are: caCoreSDK, GAARDS, EVS, caDSR (or OpenMDR), FQP.
